In-Patient & Out-Patient Pulmonary Rehabiliation Program
Pulmonary Disease Rehab
The Jerry and Dolores Turco Medical Rehab Center
In-Patient and Out-Patient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
has been designed for patients receiving subacute care services or for those living in the community with pulmonary disease. We strive to improve strength and endurance in a safe and controlled environment.
Patients enrolled in this program participate in all aspects of therapy and education with functional status measured routinely. Our goal is to improve the patient’s quality of life, allowing them to participate fully in activities-of- daily-living and leisure activities within an active community.
We have developed a clinical program that can markedly improve the quality of life for patients that have experienced a decline in exercise tolerance with increasing episodes of shortness of breath. In addition, we offer a full education and lecture series to both patients and their families.
The goal of the JDT Medical Rehab Center is to partner with the referring physician/surgeon to provide continuity of care. We will follow your specific protocol for treatment, providing therapy up to 7 days-a-week. A private room for post-hospital treatment can be prearranged, easing the stress of last minute placement. We emphasize clinical excellence and customer service with a single point person to schedule follow-up appointments and enhance communication.
Features of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program:
All treatments are under the supervision and direction of a Board-Certified pulmonologist. Our multidisciplinary team includes a Board-Certified physiatrist, respiratory therapist, physical and occupational therapist, registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
